Accounting Meets Psychology: Personality Traits of Accounting Students

Abstract:

Accountants are required to possess a greater assortment of skills including leadership, communication, analytical skills, as well as the ability to produce and interpret financial statements. This research specifically focuses on the personality traits of accounting students and if those skills align with the personality traits demanded by the accounting profession. We examine the current personality traits of accounting students using the MINI-IPIP6 indicator to analyze accounting students’ Big Five personality traits.
